House Portraits

I started doing these many years ago. I have a lot of experience with this type of commissioned artwork. My way of doing Home Portraits, as I call them, is to produce a painting, and not a light rendering or a pencil sketch with added color. A portrait of someone’s home is an honor to do. I want the painting to have all the various features that make the home unique. Following discussion, and determining the desired size of the painting, I work from my photographs, unless the intent is to work from a photo provided by the owner. I have done quite a lot of these, but more often I’ve worked from my own sketches and photos. I am happy to accept Home Portrait commissions. Many thanks to all who have commissioned me over the years, for a painting of their home, old family someplace, or vacation home.
